Happy Day! Ya'll continue to amaze me! THANK YOU for being the Community that means so much to me! The Circle of Kindness always brings out a fun quote and continues to be such a great place to bring joy and happiness to others! Quote of the week: "Yours looks a lot bigger than mine" We continue to live, love and laugh! Our newest vendor, QUEEN CITY YARNS arrived with quite a presence at Oak City Fibers! We sold out of several colorways of Coleman this past week and Latta should arrive end of this coming week! Malabrigo Silkpaca arrived as well and I'll be reordering that today! Silkpaca is a lace weight baby alpaca and silk is on the "Wall-a-Brigo" as we have nicknamed it, with all our other Malabrigo yarns!
The Peaks and Pinnacles cowl pattern by Teri Bienvenue aka- BigYarnHo on Ravelry for March-April's Knit-A-Long is winding down! Several have gotten to the end and are blocking their cowls! Come join us for the fun on Wednesdays or any day of the week! I will be completing the join of the cowl in the circle of kindness on Wednesday. Remember, we meet on Wednesdays, 1:00-3:00 p.m. for KAL's and also working on it during Winey Wednesdays! I've started a Knit-a-Long (KAL) on Thursday afternoons 2:00-4:00 as well. The Odyssey Shawl by Joji Locatelli is our Thursday KAL and we have several that have joined us for this fun and quick knit! Come to OCF anytime our doors are open to sit and knit and socialize. Everyone is welcome! Keep an eye out for our next Wednesday KAL announcement! I'm thinking Stephen West pattern!
**TRUNK SHOW ALERT**We have Ryan of Ryan Yarns, Indy Dyer set to join us for LOCAL YARN SHOP DAY on April 27th, 2024 @ 10:00a.m.!Ryan dyes gorgeous yarns and will be setup at the shop for the day. He is bringing lots of goodies so come see and support local!

Granny Square addiction continues at Oak City Fibers! Ann has collected many Granny Squares for the blanket but needs MORE!!! Come out and "Make a Granny Square" on Wednesday nights during Winey Wednesdays. Purchase your Berroco Wool DK at Oak City Fibers and make some granny squares, place them in the collection basket. Once we receive enough donations, Ann will teach us how to join the squares and finish the blanket! Once it's all done, we will be donating the blanket to Project Linus!
