A Note from Glen

Happy Day!!! Happy New Yarn!!! We've had a good week at Oak City Fibers and appreciate all who have visited and sat and knit in the Circle of Kindness! We've really had some awesome conversations and learned from one another! Thank you for your continued support!

If you participated in the December KAL of the "Festival of Stitches" and purchased your yarn from Oak City Fibers, Please email me (glen@oakcityfibers.com) your pictures of the completed project by Monday, January 15, 2024 to be entered into a drawing for a gift certificate to OCF!!

We are always offering Beginning Knit and Beginning Crochet Class as a private 1:1 class in our classroom. You can reserve a private time with one of our instructors at your convenience and learn without interruption!! Just speak to Glen, Ann or Elizabeth and we will set it up!

"The Ol'North State Knitting Guild" is now the "Triangle Fiber Guild" and meets the second Monday of each month. We met at Oak City Fibers last Monday, January 8, 2024 and have committed to the Knitted Knockers Program! If you're interested in knitting a few knockers, come to Oak City Fibers and get your yarn (reminder, we must use specific yarns for this program). Breast Cancer has affected so many millions of people and this is a great way to give back to the community!! So let's all get involved in some good charity knitting as we kick off our "Knitted Knockers" project for 2024!! Breast Cancer Awareness holds great importance to us @ Oak City Fibers. Therefore, we have decided to become a proud sponsor of this great organization and will donate part of our sales proceeds in 2024 to this cause!

Emma's Yarn has been reordered as we're selling fast!! It's been on the shelf a week and I've already placed 2 more orders to include some speckled!

We've restocked some awesome Minnie&Purl Needle Point Protectors!!

Magpie Fibers is coming to Oak City Fibers!! I've placed a HUGE order with them so we will be receiving this fabulous yarn soon!

Sisters, Anna and Morgan chose to start their "Sister Day" together at Oak City Fibers. Anna purchased some lovely Sandnes Garn Yarn, Double Sunday with Tynne Silk Mohair...They left the shop and went and got matching yarn tattoos!! Totally Awesome!! Anna sat down later that day and created her own mittens pattern and crocheted them up the same day!!!

Dana completed her awesome beret made with 1 skein of Jill Draper Mohonk!! The pattern is "Well, Like it's hard". It is very pretty and great stitch definition! OCF also has PomPoms to go with your own beret or toboggan!

Celine finished her first Emotional Support Chicken named Emily Chickensen and has cast on a sister for her named: Eggatha Christie. Yarn used was Berroco Vintage and Malabrigo Rios!! We have kits so come create your own Emotional Support Chicken!! Eggceptional work Celine and Thank You!!
