Oak City Fibers Yarn Shop News 01/28/25!

Happy Day! Wow what a week! We slipped and slid all around Raleigh last week and boy was it fun! Thank y'all again for coming to the shop.

Oak City Fibers welcomes LANG 100% Cashmere Premium to our fabulous selection of yarn! A beautifully soft & sturdy luxury cashmere with a versatile DK weight gauge.  Cashmere Premium is light & airy, yet very warm.  This is due to the 6-ply, chainette construction of the yarn that allows air between the strands providing an insulating quality similar to double pane windows.  The chainette construction also helps garments keep their shape, as well as resist pilling. Spun from pure, top quality cashmere, the yarn knits into gorgeous hats, cowls, scarves & garments that feel wonderful next to skin & will become treasured pieces.  The yarn is also lovely for special gifts such as heirloom baby blankets. Come see this in person and touch and feel the shop sample mittens that Naomi knit up for us! She and I love this new addition!

We have received NEW Moondrake, and Emma's restock to include a few new colorways!

Oak City Fibers Yarn Shop Sock/Book Club with Frog It Yarns is going well! We are closing out our first month and the majority of the group read the book and finished the socks! Pics below! Month 2 starts this Saturday. Some of us meet at the shop and knit together! Feel free to jump in the club at anytime! I always order a few more sets 'just in case'! Email me: Glen@oakcityfibers.com if you'd like to join us!
