Happy Day! The beautiful season of Fall is upon us! Isn't it spectacular to feel and see all the changes of the season! Come out to visit the shop and talk with fiber friends and enjoy the brisk Fall air!

**URGENT**Oak City Fibers is a proud sponsor of the Knitted Knockers Program. Our local Coordinator, Lacey has sent an urgent help request she received from UNC Rex & Duke. Both hospitals are in need of size B and C knockers! If you have any at home or have time to knit/crochet some, please let me know and bring them in for donation!

Our ONE YEAR Anniversary Party is being planned as we speak! Mark your calendars for FRIDAY, November 1, 2024 AND SATURDAY, November 2, 2024 to come shopping and celebrate this huge milestone for Oak City Fibers! We will have all kinds of goodies and promotions! Stay tuned!

We have a few kits left of the quick knit hat called Minted by Andrea Mowry! The shop sample of Minted is made in Queen City Yarns Lattaheld with Queen City Bernice (SuriAlpaca/Silk). The Minted pattern will be included in your kit!

Progress on The Go Go Dynamo:
The MKAL by Stephen West called the GO GO Dynamo is still 'Go Going" on my needles! For this MKAL, I am using our new Bad Sheep Fingering Yarn colorway "Circle of Kindness" (sold out this week and have ordered more from Bad Sheep!) with Emma's Practically Perfect Sock in the colorway: "Trendy AF" contrasting color! Give me a Happy Day by coming in and letting me help you pick out your colorways this week to join in the fun! It's never too late to join the "Go Go" Party! Clue 3 has been released and I'm still knitting away on Clue 2! I need your encouragement! :-)

I am on Clue 2 and making good progress! It is simple yet challenging and is keeping me wanting to knit it! Come in and see it in person and visit a minute!

Debbie finished this Sonrae by Jennifer Steingass knit in Queen City Yarns Lattaand Junction Fiber Mill Making Tracks Lite. The colors are striking! Beautiful! Excellent work Debbie!

Nancy completed this baby cardigan for her 13th Great-Grandchild in Malabrigo Arroyo in our new colorway: Polar Morn. It was so adorable! Great job Nancy and thanks for coming and supporting us and visiting! You always give us a smile when you come in!

Oak City Fibers Yarn Shop is a proud member of "Knit the Rainbow" non-profit organization which was founded in April 2020 by Austin Rivers to help homeless LGBTQ+ youth with obtain clothing items to stay warm in the winter months. Please click the hyperlink and read about this amazing program! If you or someone you know have any finished WIP's you would like to donate, I will be collecting these garments at the shop and mailing them to the organization monthly!

Dylan and Adam were in town from Pennsylvania for a family wedding this past weekend. They came yarn shopping and I got to meet their 3 daughters, Harlee, Hailey and Jade! Dylan and Adam are very excited to be celebrating the finalization of their daughters adoption! Congratulations to all! Beautiful Family!
