Oak City Fibers Yarn Shop Newsletter 10/29/24

The November Knit-A-Long is Mossblossom by Wool & Pine Designs. We have kits made up for you to choose from or pick your own two skeins of fingering and cast on with us! The sample is made in The Farmer's Daughter, Foxy Lady in the colorway: Holy Matrimony. We should be receiving a brand new restock shipment from Farmer's Daughter the end of this week! I've added new colorways as well ! Come join the fun at Oak City Fibers!

I am finished with Clue 2 and starting Clue 3 today! It is still a fun knit; simple yet challenging and is keeping me wanting to knit it! Come in and see it in person and visit a minute!

Sarah finished her Poppy Tee by PetiteKnit . She used Moondrake's Chibi in the colorway Dark Navy held together with Sandnes Garn Tynn Silk Mohair in the colorway Deep Marine. Sarah is known on Social Media as "TheMartiniKnitter" so go check out her page and support her as she was in town, she found my shop and supported me! Her work is beautiful! Thank you Sarah for supporting me and the shop!  

Justin W completed crocheting this gorgeous "I Smell Snow" by Kay Krochets Beanie using Malabrigo Rios in the colorways: Sunset and Scorpio . It is gorgeous Justin! Thanks for joining the community at Oak City Fibers and supporting the shop! Your crochet and Tunisian Crochet skills are amazing! We love having you with us!

Chris finished his "Bankhead" hat by Susie Gourlay in Malabrigo Rios. It was in Glen's stash and I can't find the colorway name so if y'all know it, let me know! haha! Chris did a great job. I'm so proud of him and how far his knitting skills have progressed after being the first student in Oak City Fibers Knitting 101 class last November! Well done Chris and thanks for all the behind-the-scenes work you do for me! Oak City Fibers wouldn't be what it is today without you supporting me!

Rose completed her "Ramona Vest" by Annie Lupton in Malabrigo Arroyoin the colorway Natural. It is gorgeous! Hats off to Rose as she completed TWO projects in a week! Thanks Rose for always supporting me and the shop. Your presence in the shop is wonderful and we thank you for always shopping local!

Mary completed her African Flower Hexagon Pig in Malabrigo Rios! She took our class and did a phenomenal job! We all thought that was the cutest pigs butt so I just had to put a pic in the newsletter for us all to enjoy! Thank you Mary for your silly fun times and supporting me and the shop! I know I say that a lot to folks but I do MEAN it every time!

We had a group of friends come meet at the shop from one end of North Carolina to the Other and spent the day at my shop! Some were from near Asheville and others from near Jacksonville! Thanks friends for always supporting me! This is what it's all about...spending time with friends and supporting one another!

David Boyd visited Raleigh from NYC for a wedding out in Dunn and stopped by the shop! We had a great time helping him pick out his new Magner Bag and some yarn! Thanks for stopping in David and supporting Local! David is an established well-known Singer in The New York City Gay Men's Chorus!
