Happy Day! Happy Holidays! "What a terrific partayyyy" is what I say about the 2024 Oak City Fibers Yarn Shop Holiday Open House Cookie & Stitch Marker Exchange Party. Y'all really did an awesome job making stitch markers, cookies, friends and garments! I woke up this morning feeling really thankful for the ongoing support from everyone. I love our community so much and it just keeps growing. Forever grateful is my daily thought.
We have received restocks of all bases in Magpie (my exclusive colorway "Happy Day" is restocked), Emma's , Malabrigo, Bad Sheep(my exclusive colorway: "Circle of Kindness" is restocked) and countless Notions. The walls are full and awaiting your touch :-) .
*****Announcing the 2025 Oak City Fibers Sock Club!*****
I am collaborating with Frog It Yarns for the 2025 Book Club. Each month's color will be inspired by a beautiful book cover. To add an additional element of fun and community we will be encouraging everyone to read the selected book along with us! I'm not a big reader but need encouragement so y'all will encourage me to read more and I'll encourage you to knit socks. Sound like a plan? Let's support one another. I need commitments from 3 more Happy Sock Knitters to join me in a monthly sock knitting adventure! I have 2 commitments already. Who is gonna jump in and commit? If you don't know how to knit socks, I'll teach you! All you need to know is to knit in the round and we will take it from there. You can do it! This is how it will work:
I will be receiving 6 sock sets each month from Frog It Yarns Book Club. You come in the shop the first week of each month and purchase your kits and we cast on. You pick your own pattern or join me on my pattern choice and we finish a pair a month until next December. More can join (12) I just need to order more sock sets in lots of 6.
