Happy Day! Time is flying!! MAGPIE Fibers has arrived! It is GORGEOUS and sooo soft and squishy..I see why they name it "Swanky Sock" and "Swanky DK"!! Come in the shop and check it out in person or online! Can you believe it's already March ya'll?! Oak City Fibers is hopping and having fun each and every day!! I have picked our next KAL for March!! Peaks and Pinnacles is a new pattern by Teri Bienvenue aka- BigYarnHo on Ravelry! It was just released last Thursday and it made the Spotlight Debut Patterns on the front page of Ravelry the first day of release!! She's an up and coming designer! Look for pics below!! I will be sitting in the circle of kindness leading the KAL on Wednesday Afternoons, 1:00-3:00 p.m. and also working on it during Winey Wednesday's! Our Winey Wednesday's are so much fun and I love it when you all show up and we cut up!!! If you have not joined us on Wednesday nights, come join the partayyyy!!!!

The Carolina Fiber Festival is this week!! This Friday, March 8, 2024...Angie of The Traveling Yarn Yogi will be coming to Oak City Fibers for some fun and sharing on Friday for us to collaborate!! Angie and I will be hosting a "Show-N-Tell" on Friday evening 4:00-6:00 pm at the shop. I've ordered Oak City Fibers swag bags for you to purchase and carry to CFF to put your haul in!! Lani has started her KAL using Magpie Fibers yarn from Oak City Fibers Yarn Shop!!! Lani chose the Swanky DK in colorways: Cinder and NightTrain. Come in and pick your colors out with any of our DK weight yarns or you can choose fingering as well !

Dustland; stephen west; 29 Bridges; shawl;

Joanne completed this "Dustland Shawl"by Stephen West. He has a whole series of that pattern! Joanne used 29 Bridges DK! It's a gorgeous DK weight yarn that we stock It felt soooo good to wrap around me that day!!!

Ya'll know Stephen has some large shawls and this was no exception. Joanne said she loved knitting every stitch!! Thank you Joanne for sharing a gorgeous handknit! It's fabulous!

Glen finished this beautiful pair of socks for his daughter! They're on display in the shop!! I chose Emma's Practically Perfect Sock - Born in a Barn colorway I used the Fish Lips Kiss Heel turn and it is so much fun to work a heel this way! The pattern was a sock-a-long with my friend Lani called "Diamond Eyed Socks" by Hannah Reverie

I, Glen, will be teaching Basic Socks starting in March on Thursdays and April on Saturdays! If interested, go ahead and sign up now! I have added the Saturday class on the calendar/website!
