The September 2024 Knit-A-Long for Oak City Fibers Yarn Shop is the Lehigh pattern by Melanie Berg! This is also the Knit-A-Long for Malabrigo.This pattern is fun and is working up nicely! Come in anyday and see Glen's progress on his KAL made with the colorways in Rios: Whole Grain and Candome

Come join me for my first Mystery KAL in years! Y'all know I love some Stephen West knitting! Oak City Fibers will have a regular Knit-A-Long for October (it's already scheduled) but I felt REALLY led to join the Stephen West Mystery KAL this year! Follow this link to find out more information! The GOGO DYNAMO sounds like so much fun! Come in and pick out your 2 colorways (4 skeins total) TODAY! The KAL is planned to start October 3, 2024. I will be knitting the regular October KAL in the shop as well so don't feel pressured, it's all supposed to be FUN! Below are some suggested kits! Come to shop and Ann, Alyssa or I would love nothing better than to help you pick out your colors!

Knitted knockers; Breast Cancer Awareness;

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month! Oak City Fibers will host a Friday Night Social on October 4, 2024, 5:00-7:00p.m. This particular Friday night, will be "Knitted Knocker Night" here at Oak City Fibers! Since day 1 of opening the shop, We have been a strong supporter and collection point for the Knitted Knockers Program! We have three of the approved great yarns to make Knitted Knockers with here at the shop! Oak City Fibers will make a monetary donation to the Knitted Knockers Program for every knocker completed and turned in to us!

Tracy completed this One ring cowl by Jessica Goddard and featured in Fellowship of the Knits by Tanis Gray an unofficial LOTR knitting book with Emma’s DK from Oak City Fibers!

She suprised her husband Gary for his birthday! She worked on it every Wednesday night while at Winey Wednesday! We really enjoyed watching her create this double knit project! Thank you for your continued support Tracy! You are AWESOME!

Chuck finished this Interview Shawl with one of our Sweet Georgia Sock Sets. What a fantastic job! Way to go Chuck! Thanks for your support and joining us in the Circle of Kindness!

Knitting for Olive; Cotton; Merino; Lento;

Rose completed her Lento by Jonna Helin in Knitting for Olive Cotton Merino held with Queen City Yarns new Bernice in the colorway Blowing Rock. She modified the pattern and made it short sleeves!

This Tee looks fabulous! Rose used a size 10 to get her gauge with this light fingering yarn held together with Queen City Bernice. It is GORGEOUS! Rose said it wears very comfortable and light!

Stephen West; Dustland; Magpie; Swanky DK;

Anita finished the Dustland Blanket by Stephen West in Magpie Swanky DK in the colorway “Voices Carry” it’s 50”x50” and scrumptious. The afternoon she brought it in, when I held it, the weight and feel made me want to take a nap in the Circle of Kindness!

Ya'll know I love some stitch definition pictures! Look at that work! Simply Gorgeous! Thank you Anita for always supporting the shop! Enjoy your trip to France and I hope your friend loves that blanket as much as we do!

BFF Tee; Kate Oates; Magpie; swanky sock;

Rose completed her BFF Tee by Kate Oates in the beautiful Magpie Swanky Sock with the colorway: Empty Night. It was so soft and nice!

Thank you Rose for bringing this in and knitting it up so quickly! It is gorgeous and I know your daughter will love it! You do terrific work and I appreciate all your support and love!
