Oak City Fibers Yarn Store News 03/12/24!

Happy Day! New Yarn Alert!! Must Stash Yarn self-striping sock yarn has arrived at Oak City Fibers! See pic below and come check it out at the shop or online! We are knitting away on the Peaks and Pinnacles cowl pattern by Teri Bienvenue aka- BigYarnHo on Ravelry for March-April's Knit-A-Long! Come join in the fun! I'm actually on the 4th pattern repeat on mine! I will continue to sit with ya'll in the circle of kindness leading the KAL on Wednesday Afternoons, 1:00-3:00 p.m. and also working on it during Winey Wednesday's! Our Winey Wednesday's are so much fun and I love it when you all show up and we cut up! If you have not joined us on Wednesday nights, come join the good times!

We have started a fundraiser for Project Linus at Oak City Fibers! Ann will be hosting "Make a Granny Square" on Wednesday nights during Winey Wednesday's. Purchase your Berroco Wool DK at Oak City Fibers and make some granny squares, place them in the collection basket and when we get a bunch made, Ann will teach us how to join them and finish the blanket! Once it's all done, we will be donating the blanket to Project Linus!

Must Stash Yarn has arrived at Oak City Fibers! Check out the colorways on the website or come in person and grab you a skein for some matchy-match socks!

Every skein is a "Must Match" skein meaning you will receive two perfectly matched half skeins twisted together. Each half skein starts and stops in the exact same place in the color sequence!

Peaks & Pinnacles; Cowl; Chibi; Making Tracks;

Our Knit-A-Long is Peaks and Pinnacles Cowl by Teri Bienvenue aka- BigYarnHoon Ravelry! Pic above! It is a fun knit and mosaic! NO colorwork but looks like it! Come join the fun! Some people are using the Making Tracks color changing yarn and many are using the new Magpie Colorways at the shop!

I have completed 4 pattern repeats in the KAL using Magpie Fibers yarn from Oak City Fibers Yarn Shop! I chose the Swanky DK in colorways: Pass the Dutchee and Emma's Simply Spectacular DK in the colorway Fun Guy. Come in and pick your colors out with any of our DK weight yarns or you can choose fingering as well!

Sandy finished the February KAL "The Eudine Cowl" by Jeanette Sloan! She used 29 Bridges DK kits in Speckled Thanks Sandy for your support. The cowl is gorgeous!

Farmer's Daughter; Silk; Sunday Cardigan;

Rhonda completed this "Sunday Cardigan"by PetiteKnit. Rhonda 2 skeins of Farmer's Daughter -Foxy Lady- in the colorway "Castle Rock" held with 1 skein of coordinating Berroco Ultra Alpaca. Excellent work Rhonda!

Rhonda did an awesome job with color selection and fit. It looks great on her! Thank you Rhonda for sharing a gorgeous handknit and supporting Oak City Fibers! Your work is fabulous!

Kathy finished this beautiful shawl! Her color selection and yarn choics were outstanding! Kathy chose Moondrake Chibi- Plum , Malabrigo Arroyo - Arapey, and colorway Immortal . The pattern used was "Blissed Out" by Chic and Regal Knits! Excellent work Kathy! I appreciate your support of Oak City Fibers!

Summer Kloster (@my.girlfriend.knits) finished this Traveler Cowlby Andrea Mowry. She chose 2 skeins of Making Tracks by Junction Fiber Mill. The colorways were "Red Hots" and "January Nights" When I touched this cowl, it felt heavenly! Great work Summer and thanks again for all you do for Oak City Fibers!
