Happy Day! It's been a busy and HAPPY past week at Oak City Fibers! We have laughed, knit, crocheted, and cut up a lot! Wednesday night was fun as always. We had visiting knitters from Massachusetts and New Mexico! Thank you for coming friends! We have restocked more Notions and Yarns! CocoKnits, All Stitches, Kelbourne Woolens, and more Malabrigo! I want to thank EVERYONE for our little community of Fiber Artists that has been created in the past 8 months! We've cried, laughed and cursed together for months with many years to come! I drive to the shop some mornings and think about many of you and how YOU have made an impact on my life! Always Give Thanks! I GREATLY appreciate each and every one of YOU! The clever construction of this boxy, colorwork sweater is both fun to knit and provides an opportunity to learn a myriad of techniques including steeking. with just two short steeks, chevv is the perfect project to try this empowering technique for the first time, especially with being able to practice first during class. pullover is worked seamlessly in the round from the top down with geometric colorwork in a single dominant color on a tri-color gradient background. it includes fully written options for a cropped or longer body length, ¾ or full length sleeves and yardage for either a 2-color (single background color) or 4-color (featured, tri-color background) sweater along with worksheets to assist with additional adjustments. during the workshop, knitters will practice all techniques, including steeking, with their working swatch. then, they will be able to cast on for their sweater and most likely get through the shoulder-join of this creative construction style.
**Students will also get access to the online version of all three courses after class! This is a huge perk!

It includes 6 discs with embedded magnets that can hold patterns, charts, or recipes on the Maker’s Board, or use them for artwork and notes on the fridge or a metal message board! I wanted a way to truly contain all my knitting tools while traveling – so I purchased the Maker’s Keep magnetic bracelet. It is a slap-bracelet so it fits everyone (one size truly fits all here).
