Happy Day! Can y'all believe it's already August? Time is totally flying! We have big events and new yarns lined up for the shop! Keep your eyes on the newsletter for everything going down at OCF! TODAY, We give a HUGE "Happy Birthday" to Ann! Today, August 6th is her actual 60th birthday! Help me wish her the happiest birthday ever! We have delicious cake on hand today at the shop so come grab a bite with us and stitch a while!
We've received a HUGE shipment of Malabrigo Yarn and added the Susurro line to our collection of "Wall-a-brigo"! Susurro is a wonderful breezy yarn which is soft and light, making it the ultimate summer yarn. Susurro is 50% Mulberry silk, 25% Merino, and 25% Linen wound as a single ply into a Sport/DK weight. The fusion of these 3 very different fibers results in an amazing depth of color, giving the yarn an almost metallic sheen.This yarn has a marvelous balance due to the sharp contrast between the crude texture of the linen and the silkiness of the Merino. Susurro is great for shawls, scarves, accessories, lace, textured stitches, cables, lightweight garments. We've received more new notions from Twice Sheared Sheep as well! We are expecting our FIRST ORDER of Plied Yarns this week and restock of Brooklyn Tweed, NEW Moondrake and NEW Knitting for Olive!
