Are you looking for a small instant gratification project? Have you just started knitting and looking for a small project to reinforce those skills? Then this is the class for you! Join me in learning how to make this fun summer hair scrunchie accessory. In this class you will learn how to do a provisional cast on, the Kitchener stitch, knit around a hair tie, and leave with a finished hair accessory; possibly 2.

In this class, You will learn how to:
- Attach yarn to hair a tie
- How to do a provisional cast on edge
and why this cast on is useful.
- The Kitchener stitch.

Class Time: July 10th 4:30 pm -7:00pm

Class Cost: $50

Supplies needed for the Class:

  • Stitch markers
  • A Darning needle
  • Scissors
  • A hair tie; the thin size or thick size hair ties
    are fine.

    You will need to purchase your yarn at Oak City Fibers for this class.  Depending on the size yarn you choose, Needles required:
    Fingering weight: US 4 / 3.5mm - 16” (40 cm) circular needle.
    Sport/DK weight: US 6 / 4mm - 16” (40 cm) circular needle.
    Worsted weight: US 7 / 4.5mm - 16” (40 cm) circular needle.
    Bulky weight: US 9 / 5.5mm - 16” (40 cm) circular needle.

Class Policy -

  • Refunds or store credits for pre-paid class registrations can be made only if we are notified at least two weeks in advance of the beginning of class.
  • Missed classes will not be made up unless the instructor agrees or was unable to teach or the shop was unexpectedly closed.
  • Refunds or store credits for missed classes cannot be made.
  • We require a minimum of two students for each class; in the event that signups do not meet that minimum level, the class will be cancelled and we'll issue refunds for class registrations.
