Ready to try knitting a sock? Join Lani to knit  your first sock in worsted weight yarn! In this three part class you will learn the magic loop technique, how to do a heel turn and pick up gusset stitches, and graft the toe using kitchener stitch.

Pattern will be provided.

THIS IS A THREE SESSION CLASS

DATES: April 18, 25 and May 2, 2026

TIME: 2:15pm - 4:15pm

Materials: One skein of worsted weight yarn (purchased at Oak City Fibers), US size  circular needle in 32" or 40" length, stitch markers

Prerequisites: Comfortable with knit stitch, purl stitch, basic decreases and knitting in the round.

Class Policy -

  • Refunds or store credits for pre-paid class registrations can be made only if we are notified at least two weeks in advance of the beginning of class.
  • Missed classes will not be made up unless the instructor agrees or was unable to teach or the shop was unexpectedly closed.
  • Refunds or store credits for missed classes cannot be made.
  • We require a minimum of two students for each class; in the event that signups do not meet that minimum level, the class will be cancelled and we'll issue refunds for class registrations.  If yarn was purchased for the class; the yarn refund policy for all yarns listed on our Policies webpage.
