Description:
Join us for a rewarding easy class where you'll learn to create Knitted Knockers: soft, comfortable knit prosthetics for women who have undergone mastectomies or lumpectomies. These handmade creations offer a beautiful and supportive alternative to traditional prostheses.
In this class, you'll be guided by an experienced instructor who has personally knit over 400 Knitted Knockers in the past eight years. Lacey will share invaluable tips and techniques along with the pattern.
She suggests Universal Bamboo Pop yarn, using double-pointed needles in sizes 4-6 (depending on your personal gauge). However, we also offer a selection of other Knitted Knocker-approved yarns available for purchase in-store.
This class is more than just learning a new knitting skill; it's an opportunity to contribute to a meaningful cause and provide comfort to women facing a challenging time. Come and be a part of this special project, and learn to knit a gift of hope.
