Start your stranded colorwork journey and learn how to bring beautiful, multicolored patterns to your knitting. In this beginner friendly class, we’ll cover the basics of stranded colorwork while working flat, focusing on managing two colors, maintaining even tension, and avoiding common pitfalls.
You’ll practice reading colorwork charts and gain tips for catching floats neatly on the wrong side of your work. This class will provide a foundation to explore your
creativity.

Depending on the size yarn you choose For worsted weight: Size 8 needle. If you’re a tight knitter then recommend size 9 needle

2 colors of worsted weight yarn. High contrast. Think one light color and one dark
color. The yarn used for sample was Malabrigo Rios
- 1 stitch markers
- A Darning needle
- Scissors
The Pattern is any Doodle Deck Card to be purchased at Oak City Fibers. Likewise, the yarn must be purchased from Oak City Fibers for the class.
Class Policy -
- Refunds or store credits for pre-paid class registrations can be made only if we are notified at least two weeks in advance of the beginning of class.
- Missed classes will not be made up unless the instructor agrees or was unable to teach or the shop was unexpectedly closed.
- Refunds or store credits for missed classes cannot be made.
- We require a minimum of two students for each class; in the event that signups do not meet that minimum level, the class will be cancelled and we'll issue refunds for class registrations.
