Ready to take your knitting projects to the next level in 2025? Learn how to read a
knitting pattern! Bring in a pattern that intimidates you, and let’s work through it together. We’ll cover standard abbreviations, reading charts, and how to read your knitting so you can figure out where you left off. Have a project you’re stuck on, bring it in and we’ll get you unstuck.
Mistakes we’ll learn to fix:
- How to read a knitting pattern
- How to count rows
- How to read a chart
Difficulty: beginner knitters and beyond
Materials needed: Knitting pattern(s) you’d like to practice reading. Projects where you’re stuck
About the Instructor: Mari is an established Knitting Instructor and Knit Designer with several knitting patterns that have been published over the years. She loves teaching and working with people!
Class Policy -
- Refunds or store credits for pre-paid class registrations can be made only if we are notified at least two weeks in advance of the beginning of class.
- Missed classes will not be made up unless the instructor agrees or was unable to teach or the shop was unexpectedly closed.
- Refunds or store credits for missed classes cannot be made.
- We require a minimum of two students for each class; in the event that signups do not meet that minimum level, the class will be cancelled and we'll issue refunds for class registrations. If yarn was purchased for the class; the yarn refund policy for all yarns listed on our Policies webpage.
