Seis Cabos is our newest yarn in the family.
It’s a six-ply, non-superwash pure merino wool with a high twist that gives the yarn a lot of structure and bounce. Due to its six-ply construction, Seis Cabos is a versatile yarn with great elasticity and strength.
Whereas most superwash yarns tend to get drapey and grow over time, Seis Cabos holds its shape very well. That high elasticity means that a garment will keep fitting without getting stretched out.
The 6 ply construction creates a very round yarn which shows off textured stitches and cables nicely while maintaining the Malabrigo Merino softness.
Great for: Accessories and hand-wash friendly garments, next to skein wear, cables, textured stitches, colorwork and felting.
Be sure to get enough yarn to complete your project since each bag is a different dye lot, and skeins may vary from bag to bag. Skeins may vary one from the other even within the same bag. To ensure random color distribution, work from two balls of yarn at once, alternating a few rows from each ball.
When we dye our yarns, the same formula is used each time but every batch of yarn may vary. The differences from one dye lot to another can be very subtle, or extremely noticeable, specially on variegated yarns. After our quality control team checks the skeins, they go to the labeling section and then are put in bags of five or ten (depending on the yarn).
