Learn how to make these cozy slippers to be ready for the winter season. If you are new to colorwork this is the perfect project for you. You will learn the tips and tricks of stranded color work that will set you up for future colorwork projects. If you have been intimidated about making socks, let's make slippers and gain your confidence by learning the afterthought heel skill set.
This is not a beginner class.
You will learn the following techniques: Stranded color work skills, knitting with both hands; how to read a color work chart; the afterthought heel; kitchner stitch; learn to SSK & K2tog
The Pattern: Wanderer Slippers can be purchased on Ravelry.
You can choose an array of colors using 2 colors of Worsted weight yarn
Main color: Approx 250 yards
Contrast Color: 200 Yards

Class Cost: $75
Supplies needed for the Class:
- Stitch markers
- A Darning needle
- Scissors
- Crochet Hook of appropriate size for yarn
Class Policy -
- Refunds or store credits for pre-paid class registrations can be made only if we are notified at least two weeks in advance of the beginning of class.
- Yarn for classes must be purchased from Oak City Fibers.
- Missed classes will not be made up unless the instructor agrees or was unable to teach or the shop was unexpectedly closed.
- Refunds or store credits for missed classes cannot be made.
- We require a minimum of two students for each class; in the event that signups do not meet that minimum level, the class will be cancelled and we'll issue refunds for class registrations.
